This position requires you to forge vital relationships, finalize strategic agreements, and assist local authorities and operators in rethinking public transport solutions. What you'll do
- Cultivate and finalize significant partnerships with municipal governments, transportation agencies, and private sector operators, overseeing complex sales processes from initial engagement through to contract execution.
- Direct the implementation of a market entry strategy specifically designed for the Central region, taking into account the unique purchasing dynamics, public sector procurement processes, political considerations, and long-term funding cycles.
- Create compelling, data-driven business proposals that illustrate how Via's platform can enhance ridership, boost operational efficiency, and promote sustainability in various cities and regions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to city officials and mobility operators as they strategize future transit systems, identify funding opportunities, and navigate both operational and political hurdles.
- Represent Via at high-profile events within your market, shaping regional perceptions of modern mobility through participation in conferences, industry gatherings, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Deliver structured and insightful market intelligence to product and strategy teams, translating real-world experiences from cities and operators into strategic insights that inform Via's development and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and to share insights that enhance overall business performance.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and identify new opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic roles, with a proven track record in enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services; experience in public transport or mobility sectors is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing and securing complex, high-value agreements involving multiple stakeholders, built on trust and influence.
- Strong analytical capabilities and storytelling skills; proficient in converting data, policy insights, and customer feedback into strategic actions and compelling narratives.
- Ability to tailor communication styles to fit various contexts, whether in meetings, conferences, or written proposals.
- Self-driven individual who thrives in uncertain environments, proactively advancing initiatives and maintaining high standards of execution.
- Exceptional commercial awareness; adept at recognizing when to advocate, when to listen, and when to reevaluate strategies to maximize deal value.
- Natural leadership abilities with a collaborative approach, excelling in settings that require significant ownership and accountability.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with stakeholders and represent Via at industry events.
