About the role
You will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for Vetcove, acting as the primary strategist and executor for building a world-class team. You will partner deeply with co-founders and hiring managers to translate business objectives into actionable hiring plans that scale. Your work will focus on sourcing exceptional talent across both technical and non-technical domains while rigorously optimizing the candidate experience. You will evolve our recruiting strategy to support rapid growth across all teams and ensure we attract mission-driven individuals. You will leverage data to drive decisions and continuously iterate on processes to improve quality of hire. Ultimately, you will be the engine that powers our ability to deliver innovative veterinary software solutions to over 25,000 hospitals.

What you'll do
- Own and evolve our end-to-end recruiting strategy across all functional teams to support aggressive growth goals.
- Partner with leadership, co-founders, and hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and design targeted hiring plans.
- Build and maintain proactive sourcing pipelines for both active and passive candidates across diverse talent pools.
- Implement creative, data-driven sourcing strategies specifically for hard-to-fill technical and non-technical positions.
- Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics to ensure clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and performance.
- Optimize, implement, and manage our core recruiting tools and systems, including applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms.
- Champion the candidate experience end-to-end, ensuring consistency and excellence from first touchpoint through offer close.
- Contribute to and elevate our employer brand through targeted outreach, content, and participation in the technical talent market.
- Collaborate with HR and operations to ensure compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement of recruiting workflows.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the organization, mentoring peers and stakeholders on best practices in sourcing and hiring.
- Work closely with People Operations to scale processes that support rapid expansion without compromising quality.
- Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the hiring funnel, proposing and testing iterative improvements on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of professional recruiting experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Demonstrate proven success in sourcing and closing candidates for both technical and non-technical roles.
- Show a strong track record of building and optimizing scalable recruiting pipelines and repeatable processes.
- Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with executives and cross-functional leaders.
- Display high proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and technical sourcing tools such as Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and similar platforms.
- Be highly analytical, with a bias toward data-informed decisions, action, and continuous iteration.
- Be comfortable operating in an environment with evolving priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative, taking full responsibility for complex hiring challenges from problem identification to resolution.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive candidate and company information at all times.
- Commit to working within the legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
- Align with the company's mission to modernize the animal health industry and improve the pet parent healthcare experience.
