You will leverage analytical skills to transform raw data into actionable purchasing strategies. What you'll do
- Develop and maintain optimal stock levels through strategic inventory planning and analysis.
- Process and oversee all purchase orders daily, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and meticulous record-keeping.
- Communicate inventory status, potential stock-outs, and new product information clearly to fulfillment partners.
- Introduce and implement efficient and scalable improvements to streamline the purchasing workflow and reduce manual effort.
- Analyze historical data and forecast demand to determine appropriate reorder points and safety stock levels.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels, cycle counts, and stock movements to make necessary adjustments in real-time.
- Report on inventory performance metrics, identifying significant cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational enhancement.
- Coordinate with fulfillment partners to conduct regular inventory accuracy checks and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects, gathering requirements and collaborating with the systems analyst to resolve complex operational challenges.
- Utilize inventory management and forecasting software to automate tasks and improve the accuracy of procurement activities.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure we are obtaining the best value and lead times.
- Maintain organized and detailed documentation for all purchasing activities to ensure audit readiness and transparency.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating with vendors to optimize pricing and contract terms where applicable.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving inventory-related issues that may impact order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of proven experience in procurement and inventory management.
- Demonstrate proficiency in analytical abilities for interpreting complex data and making sound decisions.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain a cooperative and positive approach to teamwork, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Demonstrate familiarity with dedicated inventory management and forecasting software platforms.
- Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and effectively prioritize workloads in a dynamic setting.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and highly organized organizational capabilities.
- Have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements.
- Understand the importance of data integrity and accuracy in maintaining reliable inventory records.
- Show a willingness to adapt to new technologies and process changes inherent in a growing company.
- Commit to adhering to company policies and procedures regarding procurement and compliance.
- Possess reliable internet connectivity and a suitable workspace to perform remote duties effectively.
