About the role
Verkada is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our Product organization and manage the hiring process for critical roles. You will work within our decentralized model, embedding directly with leadership to build talent pipelines and shape our product teams. In this capacity, you will act as a strategic partner to the SVP of Product and Operations, ensuring that hiring initiatives are executed with precision and alignment to business objectives. You will own the full lifecycle for key positions, navigating complex requirements while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Your work will directly influence the quality and velocity of product development by securing top-tier technical talent. You will be responsible for refining the candidate experience and ensuring that every interaction reflects the core values of the organization. This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate hiring needs before they arise.

What you'll do
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing and pipeline maintenance to offer negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate weekly with the SVP of Product and Operations, as well as VPs and Directors, to execute hiring strategies.
- Refine and improve existing recruiting workflows to support company growth.
- Provide a high-touch, transparent experience for all candidates.
- Source and evaluate candidates for niche, complex technical roles across the product organization.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess technical fit and cultural alignment with leadership expectations.
- Coordinate interview schedules and manage feedback loops between hiring managers and candidates.
- Analyze hiring metrics and adjust sourcing channels to optimize pipeline quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates through targeted outreach and networking.
- Partner with HR operations to ensure compliance and consistency in hiring practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce time-to-fill for critical positions.
- Leverage data and market insights to refine job descriptions and required qualifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders regarding hiring status and updates.
- Drive the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires joining the product team.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Possess 6+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting for technical or niche, complex roles.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to generate high-quality, targeted candidate pipelines.
- Show experience influencing senior leadership and aligning stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in all professional interactions.
- Display the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be able to work on-site at our San Mateo headquarters 5 days per week without exception.
- Have a track record of delivering results in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
- Understand the nuances of technical recruiting for software and hardware product teams.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive hiring information.
- Be comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Have experience managing competing deadlines and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.

- You must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. We do not provide or take over employment visa sponsorship for this role.

- Compensation includes base salary and may include RSUs or discretionary bonuses.
