Field Marketing Manager
Job description
About the role
The role manages Verkada's regional presence and expansion across EMEA, focusing on France. It owns the field marketing strategy and execution in partnership with sales and cross-functional teams. The position drives demand and growth in a high-growth, privacy-sensitive AI security platform environment.
Marketing teams grow awareness and demand for a company's products. They write copy, run campaigns, manage channels, and measure results. The work spans content, paid ads, email, events, and search. Marketing roles combine creativity with data and constant testing. Marketing teams usually run experiments every week and keep the work that performs. Most companies hire specialists in channels such as paid search, email, or content.
Key facts
What you'll do
Goals for customer, growth, and revenue in France and EMEA are met through the development and planning of regional field marketing plans.
European customers and thought-leadership bodies are engaged to build relationships that enhance marketing outcomes, and insights from these interactions refine field marketing strategies and processes.
Marketing experiments are designed and executed to address unique regional requirements, and successful campaigns are scaled and automated to achieve strong ROI. Budgets, lead flow, follow-up, and results are tracked against goals, with status, action items, results, and deliverables communicated across marketing and sales. Close collaboration with Sales leadership enables tactical engagement with key target accounts and partners.
Requirements
5+ years of events marketing and demand generation experience in B2B, preferably with a fast-growing tech company, and experience working across France supports execution in the region. A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, technology, or sciences, is required. Proven track record executing innovative and multi-part event and demand generation programs is necessary, and data-driven decision making is demonstrated through experience using metrics and Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze information. Ability to travel as needed to events and conferences is required.
Practical notes
This role is based remotely and targets France within the EMEA region. The position reports to marketing and works closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams. Typical interview steps
Marketing interviews often include a portfolio review, a campaign exercise, and analytics questions. Candidates may be asked to plan a launch, write a brief, or improve a funnel. Some loops include a presentation. Results from past campaigns carry the most weight. Interviewers ask about specific campaigns you ran and what the numbers said. Preparing a short case of one campaign with its results is strong preparation.
Good to know
Field marketing roles focus on demand generation and go-to-market execution across regions. Professionals in this area use event platforms, webinar systems, and data analysis tools to manage campaigns. The role operates across international markets and often involves significant travel to conferences and customer engagements.
Questions to ask
Good questions to ask the employer in the interview: what does success look like in the first six months, how is the team structured, what is the current biggest challenge, and how are decisions made. Asking about growth paths and the review process is also well received. Employers expect questions, and good ones show preparation.
Career growth
Marketing careers move from associate to manager, director, and VP levels. Specializations include growth, brand, product marketing, and content. Generalists often start, then specialize as they advance. Measured impact on pipeline and revenue drives progression. Marketing careers reward measurable results and adaptability. Channel experience plus business sense usually beats a general resume.
