Verkada is actively expanding its operational footprint within the Japanese market and is seeking a dedicated Osaka-based Account Executive to spearhead regional commercial initiatives. This individual will take ownership of driving the entire commercial lifecycle for Verkada's cloud-based physical security platform across Western Japan. The role involves establishing and solidifying Verkada's local market presence while ensuring that strategic sales objectives are met. You will act as a critical bridge between client needs and Verkada's innovative technology solutions. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. You will be instrumental in shaping the growth trajectory of Verkada in one of Asia's most significant economic regions. This position demands a high level of ownership and accountability for both revenue and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do
Manage the entire sales cycle, encompassing initial prospecting, proactive outbound activity, meticulous opportunity management, and final negotiations leading to successful contract closure. Develop and rigorously maintain a comprehensive and data-driven sales pipeline that covers all relevant industry verticals throughout Western Japan. Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with local resellers, system integrators, and channel partners to maximize market penetration and reach. Master the intricate details of the Verkada product suite to confidently articulate and communicate the distinct value proposition within the Japanese security sector. Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineers to orchestrate compelling technical demonstrations and provide robust support throughout complex product deployments. Act as a trusted cloud security consultant, guiding clients through every phase of their migration to modern, cloud-managed security systems. Adhere to strict travel commitments, frequently visiting client sites and attending partner meetings, with travel obligations exceeding 50 percent of total working time. Gather and synthesize detailed market intelligence and client feedback from the Japanese region to inform and influence Verkada's overall strategic direction. Consistently uphold Verkada's brand standards and messaging to ensure a cohesive and professional market perception. Proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks in the sales process, leveraging internal resources to ensure seamless deal progression.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in a quota-carrying sales role, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the Japanese B2B technology sector. Exhibit native-level proficiency in the Japanese language, both written and verbal, to ensure precise and effective communication with stakeholders. Demonstrate a proven ability to successfully navigate complex and lengthy sales cycles while building enduring and trust-based client relationships. Deliver polished and high-impact presentations that are tailored to the specific nuances and expectations of the Japanese business culture and decision-making processes. Operate as a highly self-motivated and tenacious professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving sales environment. Maintain strict adherence to corporate policies, ethical guidelines, and data security protocols at all times. Show a consistent commitment to meeting and exceeding predefined performance metrics, targets, and key performance indicators. Display cultural sensitivity and adaptability when interacting with diverse teams and clients across various regions.
Nice to have
Possess intermediate to business-level proficiency in English to facilitate smoother internal collaboration and client interactions where required. Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a foundational level of academic knowledge. Practical notes
The standard working schedule is fixed from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, which includes a mandatory 60-minute lunch break.
