Account Executive, Nordics
Job description
About the role
We are hiring a Mid-Market Sales professional to join our expanding team at our London office near Old Street. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end sales process for a specific Nordic territory, driving revenue growth and market penetration. We value high performance and individual drive over specific industry backgrounds or educational pedigrees, believing this unlocks diverse and effective approaches to selling. You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the region. Our comprehensive training program is designed to support your transition and success within our organization, equipping you with the product knowledge and sales methodologies required. You will challenge the status quo by demonstrating how an integrated AI-powered platform can solve complex physical security challenges for modern enterprises. This role requires a proactive and resilient mindset to navigate complex sales environments and achieve ambitious quarterly targets. You will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring their long-term success and advocacy.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify target accounts and map key decision-makers within your Nordic territory.
- Execute a strategic territory plan that balances new customer acquisition with the expansion of existing accounts.
- Utilize a multi-pronged prospecting approach involving cold calling, targeted email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement, and attendance at industry events.
- Master the technical specifications and business benefits of Verkada's cloud physical security and AI platform through self-directed learning.
- Articulate a compelling value proposition by translating complex product features into clear customer outcomes during presentations.
- Qualify leads rigorously to ensure alignment between customer needs and Verkada's solution set, saving time for both parties.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline from initial contact through to contract negotiation using established CRM practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to structure tailored proposals that address the specific requirements of Nordic customers.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships that position you as a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor.
- Track and analyze your performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize your sales activities continuously.
- Identify and leverage strategic channel partners to generate leads and close deals that benefit from collaborative efforts.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures to secure agreements that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
- Provide structured feedback to product and marketing teams based on insights gathered from customer interactions in the field.
- Consistently forecast your sales pipeline to enable accurate revenue predictions and support company-wide planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a full sales cycle in a quota-carrying role, demonstrating an ability to close deals independently.
- Native-level proficiency in Swedish or Icelandic, or significant professional experience operating within the Nordic market, to build authentic rapport.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- A demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets and a disciplined approach to tracking your own performance metrics and goals.
- The ability to work independently with high levels of discipline and organization, managing your time effectively without direct supervision.
- A capacity to challenge existing customer norms and influence decision-makers who may be resistant to change or new ideas.
- A willingness to be based in London or to relocate to the area promptly to ensure successful integration into the team.
- Previous experience operating in a B2B SaaS sales environment is strongly preferred to understand the nuances of subscription-based models.
- An understanding of data privacy and security regulations relevant to the European market is considered essential for this role.
Nice to have
- Experience in tech sales is not required, as we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- A background in the physical security, IT, or technology sectors is advantageous but not mandatory for success.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar platforms can accelerate your onboarding process.
- Experience working with startups or high-growth companies where agility is a core part of the business strategy.
- Knowledge of the Nordic business culture, including decision-making hierarchies and negotiation styles, is beneficial for accelerating trust.
- A network of professional contacts within the Nordic region who are active in security, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
Practical notes

- Benefits include 100 percent coverage of employee and family healthcare premiums for most plans, ensuring peace of mind for you and your dependents.
