About the role
Veeva is actively searching for a technical writer to manage content for our CRM product ecosystem. In this capacity, you will own the production of documentation on a monthly release schedule while actively incorporating AI tools and multimedia formats like video and eLearning into your workflow. You will serve as the primary content owner responsible for translating complex product functionality into clear, user-focused materials that enable successful adoption. The role requires a high degree of autonomy as you independently research, draft, and refine documentation for specific CRM product areas. You will ensure that all content remains accessible, accurate, and updated with every release cycle. Collaboration is central to this position, as you will work closely with engineering and product teams to track feature updates and maintain strict content accuracy. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to balance speed with quality while adhering to evolving team writing standards.

What you'll do
- Manage documentation for specific CRM product areas, ensuring content is accessible and updated for every monthly release.
- Integrate AI-driven tools and automation to increase the speed and quality of documentation.
- Develop multimedia assets, including video and eLearning materials, to support user education.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to track feature updates and maintain content accuracy.
- Participate in peer review cycles and contribute to the refinement of team writing standards.
- Independently master complex technical systems and convert that knowledge into user-focused content.
- Organize and prioritize multiple documentation projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality.
- Maintain proficiency in technical authoring environments and docs-as-code workflows.
- Provide a portfolio or work samples that demonstrate content created for a technical audience.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to accessibility standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify product details.
- Support the creation of in-product help content and user interface text where applicable.
- Mentor or share best practices with junior team members to elevate the overall quality of the documentation.
- Contribute to the strategic evolution of the documentation roadmap in alignment with product goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, information design, or documentation engineering.
- Ability to independently master complex technical systems and convert that knowledge into user-focused content.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in technical authoring environments and docs-as-code workflows.
- Must provide a portfolio or work samples showing content created for a technical audience.
- Residency in the U.S. West (Pacific Timezone) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Comfort working with structured information formats including XML, HTML, and Markdown.
- Familiarity with documentation platforms such as MadCap Flare is required.
- Understanding of content management systems and publishing processes.
- Willingness to adhere to established style guides and documentation standards.
- Commitment to continuous learning in response to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Nice to have
- Background in the enterprise software sector.
- Familiarity with Git, XML, HTML, Markdown, or Madcap Flare.
- Experience with AI-based content workflows.
- Skills in video production, interactive training, or eLearning development.
- Knowledge of web development or programming languages such as Python, React, Javascript, or CSS.
Practical notes
- Salary range: $75,000 - $115,000 base pay, with potential eligibility for variable or stock bonuses.
