About the role
Veeva is seeking a highly skilled technical product manager to lead the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions for its core products, Veeva QualityDocs and Veeva Training. This role focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance the management of regulated quality content and learning management systems. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, UX, and product teams to design innovative AI features, automate workflows, and improve overall product performance. The position involves creating production-ready AI applications, supporting AI evaluation processes, and communicating technical capabilities to both internal teams and external customers. This is an on-site role based in Boston, Massachusetts, and requires a candidate with a strong background in SaaS enterprise products and AI technologies.

What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI features for Veeva QualityDocs and Veeva Training, ensuring they meet user needs and technical standards.
- Create and deploy production-ready AI Agent applications, including data orchestration, prompt design, and integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate critical business processes through AI solutions, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the evaluation, testing, and optimization of AI Agents to ensure high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Communicate the capabilities, benefits, and limitations of AI features to internal stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and customer success teams, as well as external clients.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration into existing products and new features, aligning with strategic goals.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML, large language models, and prompt engineering to incorporate best practices into product development.
- Ensure all AI solutions comply with relevant industry regulations, data privacy standards, and company policies, especially in regulated environments.
- Gather user feedback and usage data post-deployment to inform continuous improvement of AI features and overall product enhancements.
- Support the integration of AI capabilities into the broader SaaS platform, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Assist in training and onboarding internal teams and customers on new AI features and functionalities.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and best practices related to AI applications.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align AI development with company growth objectives and customer needs.
- Contribute to the development of technical roadmaps and prioritize features based on impact and feasibility.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members involved in AI projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise SaaS product management, engineering, or technical consulting, with at least 2 years specifically focused on AI/ML applications.
- Proven experience designing and deploying AI features or applications in a commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of data flow design, algorithm selection, and model integration within SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency in Python programming language and familiarity with AI frameworks, APIs, and cloud services.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML principles, including large language models, prompt engineering, and natural language processing techniques.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling communications for diverse audiences.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, UX, product management, and customer success teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Residency in or near the Eastern Time zone is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, team collaboration, or industry events.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
- Familiarity with SaaS architecture, cloud computing, and application development platforms is advantageous.

- The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $165,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
