About the role
Veeva is on the lookout for an AI Consultant specializing in the implementation of safety systems to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping life sciences companies integrate AI technologies into the Vault Safety platform. Your expertise will ensure that these advanced solutions comply with stringent regulatory and safety standards, ultimately enhancing patient safety and operational efficiency.

What you'll do
- Provide expert guidance to clients on AI strategies, emphasizing governance and oversight for AI applications in safety processes.
- Design and implement testing and validation frameworks to confirm that AI solutions adhere to Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GxP) and computer system validation requirements.
- Create and maintain dashboards and performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of AI systems.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of Vault Safety features and pharmacovigilance regulations to effectively connect technical AI concepts with compliance needs.
- Facilitate workshops aimed at gathering requirements, configuring systems, and optimizing processes for clients.
- Conduct thorough gap analyses and oversee the entire implementation lifecycle of AI-driven solutions.
- Foster customer success by pinpointing areas for innovation and converting industry trends into practical initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of AI technologies into existing workflows.
- Provide training and support to client teams to enhance their understanding and utilization of AI tools.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and pharmacovigilance to continuously improve service offerings.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies for AI implementation in safety systems.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic consulting or implementation, particularly in deploying AI solutions.
- A solid background in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, insurance, aerospace, or life sciences.
- Proven experience in establishing AI governance frameworks, oversight protocols, and performance measurement systems.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex industry-specific knowledge and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong skills in translating business requirements into effective software configurations.
- Excellent communication abilities for engaging stakeholders and conveying technical information to varied audiences.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of drug safety and pharmacovigilance regulations.
- Experience in leading global system implementation projects.
- Hands-on familiarity with Oracle Argus, ARISg, or other safety, signal detection, and reporting tools.
- A degree in computer science, life sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) or cloud-based solutions.
- Background in systems implementation or service delivery management.
- Proximity to key life sciences regions such as New Jersey, San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia, Chicago, RTP, Indianapolis, or Columbus.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $140,000, with opportunities for variable bonuses or stock options.
