About the role
You will partner with commercial and R&D teams to configure and deploy cloud solutions that accelerate therapy delivery. You will translate complex business requirements into system designs that align with Veeva industry cloud standards. You will act as a technical bridge between customers and engineering to ensure solution integrity and compliance. You will leverage scripting and API integrations to solve unique workflow challenges in life sciences environments. You will mentor junior consultants and document technical decisions to support scalable implementations. You will conduct solution validations and performance testing to confirm system behavior meets contractual specifications. You will represent Veeva at customer workshops to co-create future-state operating models and adoption strategies. You will continuously refine your expertise in system management to support evolving customer transformation initiatives.

What you'll do
Perform detailed discovery sessions to capture customer workflow requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Configure Veeva Vault applications and modules to reflect client business processes, organizational structures, and regulatory landscapes.
Design and implement integrations between Veeva cloud products and third-party systems using standard integration tools.
Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate configuration changes and integration endpoints.
Create technical documentation, process maps, and solution blueprints for both implementation teams and end users.
Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate with engineering when complex defects arise.
Lead system management tasks, including environment provisioning, change control, and release coordination for cloud instances.
Collaborate with regional delivery leads to resource plan engagements, manage timelines, and mitigate delivery risks.
Coach customers on best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and governance within Veeva platform guardrails.
Support post-go-live optimization initiatives, monitoring system performance, and recommending enhancements based on user feedback.
Coordinate with product specialists to interpret feature releases and assess their impact on existing customer solutions.
Apply creative problem-solving to adapt standard functionality to highly regulated life sciences contexts and compliance needs.
Utilize scripting and automation to reduce manual effort and improve the efficiency of repetitive configuration tasks.
Champion the adoption of new Veeva capabilities, ensuring customers derive maximum value from their cloud investment.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
You have a minimum of two years of professional experience in software development, system administration, or technical consulting.
You demonstrate strong proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
You have hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON payloads, and HTTP methods for system integration scenarios.
You are familiar with configuration-based tools and version control practices relevant to cloud platform management.
You understand core networking concepts, including endpoints, routing, and security models that affect cloud deployments.
You have experience working in regulated environments where compliance, auditability, and data integrity are critical.
You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting your language to suit diverse audiences.
You are willing to travel regionally to support customer engagements and collaborate with global delivery teams.
You hold the legal right to work in China, and your documentation supports employment eligibility for the Dalian location.
You can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
You exhibit strong analytical skills, enabling you to diagnose issues and propose technically sound solutions.
You are comfortable working within Veeva's PBC structure and understand the implications of a public benefit corporation model.

Nice to have
Previous experience with life sciences or regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices.
Hands-on work with Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM, or other Veeva R&D and Commercial Cloud products.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, or ISO quality frameworks.
Experience with cloud deployment models, including multi-tenant architectures and managed services concepts.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices for cloud configuration and automated testing in SaaS environments.
Background in consulting or professional services, with a track record of managing customer engagements.
Skills in data migration, data modeling, and metadata management within cloud data platforms.
Understanding of change management and adoption strategies for enterprise software transformations.
Exposure to Agile delivery methods, including participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances or access credentials for customer sites.
Practical notes
This role may require regional travel to support client engagements and cross-functional workshops.
You must be eligible to work in China without sponsorship, and the position is based in Dalian.
