Brand Payment Engineering: Fullstack Engineer Opportunity
Veepee, the pioneer of online flash sales established in 2001, stands as a key figure in European e-commerce. The company partners with more than 7,000 brands to deliver time-sensitive, highly discounted products across diverse sectors such as fashion, home, wine, travel, and beauty. This role represents a significant step in supporting that growth. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of a financial data platform critical to European regulatory compliance, ensuring that monetary reporting remains accurate and timely for strategic decision-makers. You will translate ambiguous business requirements from stakeholders into robust technical solutions using the specific capabilities of the F Sharp programming language. Your work will directly support the Operation domain and the Corporate Services tribe by enhancing the centralized B2B financial cockpit used across the organization. You will collaborate closely with European legal experts to adapt financial reporting formats as laws evolve, ensuring the system always meets the latest standards.

What you'll do
- Analyze complex business needs for financial data management and convert them into scalable technical specifications using F Sharp.
- Design and implement secure data pipelines that reliably connect diverse operational sources to SAP S/4Hana cloud systems.
- Develop and maintain the data structures required for financial records, leveraging the strong typing and functional paradigms specific to F Sharp.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval, integrity, and compliance with European reporting standards.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to verify data accuracy and validate that financial dashboards reflect the correct monetary indicators.
- Conduct thorough testing of transaction flows to confirm that calculations align with legal reporting requirements across different European markets.
- Refine user interfaces for financial dashboards to improve clarity and usability for non-technical stakeholders reviewing key monetary data.
- Document all integration points and application logic to enable future teams to extend functionality independently and reduce maintenance overhead.
- Support deployment processes to move code safely into production environments on schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to uphold high engineering standards and consistent delivery quality.
- Collaborate with European legal teams to update financial reporting logic when new regulations or laws change reporting formats.
- Act as a technical owner for the financial data platform, identifying risks early and proposing mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform by exploring new tools and best practices in functional programming and cloud technologies.
- Ensure that all solutions are aligned with the long-term strategic goals of the brand payment ecosystem within the company.
Requirements
- Have hands-on experience building applications using F Sharp in real-world projects that demonstrate practical expertise.
- Possess a solid understanding of writing SQL queries and managing data models to handle relational databases effectively.
- Show a strong grasp of financial concepts and compliance rules to make informed technical decisions affecting monetary data.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and within small cross-functional teams while maintaining consistent delivery quality.
- Hold the right to work in France and be eligible for a permanent contract based in the Paris location.
- Bring strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to handle complex financial data scenarios and edge cases.
- Exhibit ownership of the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and outcomes.

- Experience with cloud platforms and container tools would be advantageous as it supports deployment and monitoring tasks.

- Compensation range for experienced candidates is 65,000 euros to 75,000 euros, reflecting a requirement of 5 years of relevant experience.
