Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Foundation
Infrastructure Development team. You will contribute to critical projects based on current demands and strategic priorities, including Gaio (our GenAI Orchestrator), VeepeeCloud (our zero vendor lock-in private cloud), and other essential internal infrastructure services. You will work within a cross-functional unit alongside Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps engineers, and Product Owners. The role requires fluency in multiple programming languages, specifically Rust, Go, and Scala, with the flexibility to apply each as project needs dictate. You are expected to exercise strong engineering judgment, operate with confidence in high-stress production environments, and integrate AI coding tools into your standard workflow.
Technical Environment and Responsibilities
Your daily work will involve the development, operations, and maintenance of Gaio (GenAI Orchestrator). This includes integrating with various Large Language Model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini, developing consumer APIs and managing API call translation and routing, implementing LLM consumption accounting and usage metering, and handling streaming response protocols to ensure normalization.
Alternatively, you will engage with the development, operations, and maintenance of VeepeeCloud services. These responsibilities cover private cloud APIs for Compute, Storage, DNS, Certificates, and NLBaaS, the creation of Terraform providers for internal cloud resource consumption, and the development of CLI clients for operational efficiency.
also, you will be actively involved in production operations. This participation encompasses support roles, incident response procedures, and active involvement in war rooms during critical production events.

Compensation: 45000 to 55000 euros
What You Will Do
You will architect data intake pipelines that normalize disparate API contracts before storing structured information. You will design service modules for VeepeeCloud that expose compute, storage, and networking abstractions to internal consumers. You will build connectors for Gaio that route requests to multiple LLM providers while accurately metering usage. You will create streaming adapters that normalize communication protocols and maintain resilient data flows. You will develop Terraform providers that enable internal teams to request cloud resources through declarative configuration. You will craft CLI experiences that simplify complex cloud operations for partner workflows. You will take part in war room investigations, trace incidents, and contribute to improving control surfaces. You will review designs with SRE and product owners, ensuring solutions adhere to reliability and cost objectives. You will deploy changes behind feature flags, validating behavior in staging environments before production exposure. You will collaborate with internal platform teams to align service contracts and observability standards.
Requirements
You must bring three to five years of professional experience writing Go, Rust, or Scala in production settings. You need direct experience interfacing with large language model platforms and managing streaming responses. A solid understanding of cloud infrastructure patterns, private service design, and API gateway concepts is essential. You must demonstrate comfort operating databases, queues, and HTTP services within distributed systems. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform provider development, is required. You should have a proven ability to handle production incidents, trace issues efficiently, and communicate status updates clearly.
