Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead the product lifecycle from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product innovation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define product specifications and prioritize features based on user feedback and business value.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Engage with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to gather insights and validate product concepts.
• Create and present product proposals and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor product performance post-launch, analyzing metrics to inform future iterations and enhancements.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, to ensure efficient product development processes.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies and promotional materials for product launches.
• Act as a product evangelist, representing Valocity Global at industry events and conferences to showcase our offerings.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and experimentation.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the fintech or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products throughout their lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
• Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial services, lending, or mortgage industries is advantageous.
• Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and practices.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for product performance measurement.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or fast-paced tech company.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in the fintech space.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in product management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centered design.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) for performance tracking.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Practical notes

• This position is based in Mumbai, and candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid environment as required.
