About the role
Head of Product Management
ERP Product Portfolio
The Head of Product Management
ERP Product Portfolio is responsible for executing the product strategy across Unit4's ERP suite and ensuring efficient delivery of secure, reliable cloud-based solutions. This role operates at the intersection of product development, cloud operations, and engineering collaboration to drive consistent user experiences and scalable architectures.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the full lifecycle of ERP products, with particular focus on Human Capital Management and Payroll modules, Financials and Controlling, Logistics, and Higher Education modules. The role requires end-to-end ownership of product direction, ensuring alignment between architecture, user experience, scalability, and integration across modules. You will manage the translation of business objectives into detailed product roadmaps and development plans.
You will prioritize initiatives based on business value, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and the constraints and opportunities of cloud infrastructure. This includes consideration of service level agreements, scalability targets, and operational cost efficiency. You will define and drive product discovery practices to validate user needs and ensure solutions address real business problems.
Leadership of the Product Management function is central to this role. You will guide Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering agile ways of working, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement in product discovery, delivery, and governance. You will work closely with Engineering and Cloud Operations/DevOps teams to ensure product roadmaps are feasible and aligned with infrastructure capabilities, deployment pipelines, and release management processes.
You will play a decisive role in cloud transformation initiatives, including multi-tenant architecture design and SaaS adoption strategies. Responsibilities include oversight of product reliability, performance, security, and compliance. You will ensure that data governance, regulatory obligations, and industry standards are maintained across cloud environments, with attention to data residency, information security, and legal compliance.
Understanding and representing customer needs is a core duty. You will build deep insight into the requirements of HR, payroll, and finance professionals, as well as operational and administrative users. This insight will feed into product enhancements and platform improvements. You will analyze usage data, performance metrics, and reliability indicators to inform decisions and set future priorities.
The role reports directly to the Managing Director and is accountable for the overall product strategy and portfolio performance. You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to define solution positioning, product messaging, and packaging for cloud-based offerings. You will support customers in transitioning from on-premise models to cloud-based services.
Key requirements include a minimum of ten years of experience in product management within HR, Payroll, or ERP environments, preferably in SaaS or cloud contexts. You should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms and modern delivery pipelines, and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Strong skills in roadmapping, prioritization, and enterprise architecture are essential.
You must demonstrate fluency in CI/CD concepts and enterprise cloud architectures, such as those from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, or comparable platforms. The ideal candidate balances innovation with operational stability and regulatory rigor. Excellent communication and influencing skills are required to work effectively with product, engineering, and operations colleagues.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, or other major cloud providers as they relate to ERP portfolios. Familiarity with TETA HR and TETA ERP is considered an advantage.
Unit4 offers a dynamic, innovation-focused environment with opportunities for professional growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact. You will join a team committed to modernizing ERP experiences and empowering customers through cloud transformation.
This position may require security clearance and background checks after an offer is extended, in accordance with local laws and data protection requirements.
