Customer Billing Specialist
This position is responsible for the end-to-end billing lifecycle for an established book of business. The role demands meticulous oversight of invoicing, adjustments, and revenue integrity. You will ensure financial processes are accurate, timely, and compliant. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to data management and client communication.
What You Will Do
You will manage the intake and validation of new sales agreements, ensuring all details are correct for the initial billing run. The role involves processing modifications and cancellations for current contracts while safeguarding data accuracy. You will be the owner of the billing artifacts, creating and sending invoices and account updates to the client base. This includes distributing statements and notifications regarding any changes or adjustments.
Generating and delivering precise billing data is a core function. You will compile revenue reconciliation reports and other financial overviews to provide clear visibility into billing performance. The position requires active listening and problem-solving when addressing client inquiries related to invoices or account status. You will coordinate the transition of new deals from Sales into the production environment. This includes providing support to Sales Operations during the validation phase of new contracts.
Daily work involves using spreadsheets to manipulate complex datasets. You must maintain organized and thorough records of all billing activities. The work directly supports the sales pipeline and ensures deals move into production without delay.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism and reliability. You must possess the ability to handle the complete billing cycle for existing customers, including the creation of credit notes. Experience managing adjustments for cancellations or amendments to active agreements is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with clients professionally. You must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to prevent errors in billing documents. Technical proficiency in spreadsheet software is a requirement for managing and reporting on financial data.
