Position Overview

The Associate Dean of Students at Uncommon will partner with the school's Dean of Students to guarantee that every student achieves significant academic growth and embodies the school's core values. This role is entrusted with leading specific cultural programs and discipline frameworks as directed by school leadership. The objective is to foster a school environment that is positive, orderly, consistent, supportive, and structured.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Dean of Students to develop a structured, achievement-focused, and innovative school culture.
• Equip teachers to establish classrooms that are culturally aware, where students consistently meet and surpass academic and behavioral standards.
• Engage with families to strengthen home-school connections, ensuring students have the necessary tools and resources for success.
• Deliver administrative assistance to maintain the Dean's office, including the management of student records, collection of classwork and homework, inventory of supplies, and enforcement of specific systems such as uniform policies and "close the loop" procedures.
• Support the daily operational needs of school leadership to uphold a cohesive school culture.
• Lead or assist with essential cultural systems, including detention protocols, student mediations, and routines for lunch and arrival.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $19.96 per hour to $26.10 per hour. Most candidates who meet the job requirements will receive an offer between $19.96 per hour and $21.19 per hour. Initial pay is determined by several factors, including relevant professional development, educational certifications, and length of service with Uncommon Schools.
