About the role
You will build new user-facing features for Orchestrator, which is the centralized web platform that manages, deploys, monitors, and schedules automations including robots, agents, apps, and API workflows. This role sits within a large frontend-focused team that is responsible for building and maintaining core experiences on the platform. You will plan, design, develop, and test software systems for enhancements and new features, including cloud-based tools that support enterprise automation workflows. What you'll do
- Plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for product enhancements and new features, including cloud-based tools.
- Work with cross-functional teams across UiPath to design and engineer different areas of the product and services.
- Make sure that all technical deliverables satisfy customer expectations and meet requirements for quality, security, scalability, and performance.
- Help establish effective and agile engineering practices that improve how the team builds and ships software.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs in the codebase, then devise and implement solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
- Plan feature development, design system components, and build the engineering roadmap for the Orchestrator product.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation through consistent review processes and modern tooling.
- Collaborate closely with UX and product teams to transform functional requirements into working, user-facing features.
- Ensure that accessibility is considered and implemented throughout the development process for all user-facing components.
- Participate actively in code reviews and pair programming sessions to share knowledge and raise the bar for the team.
- Mentor junior members of the team through code reviews, pair programming, and giving thoughtful, actionable feedback.
- Lift others up by fostering a supportive and collaborative engineering culture within the frontend team.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of hands-on coding experience in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.
- Demonstrated ability to architect and build a large frontend system that scales well as the product grows.
- Strong knowledge of browser APIs, web performance, and techniques for optimizing the user experience in production.
- The ability to promptly transform a set of functional and UX requirements into a working product with a touch of accessibility.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and giving constructive, actionable feedback to help them grow.
- A genuine desire to lift others up and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern frontend tooling and build systems.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company where priorities and requirements can shift quickly.
- A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
Nice to have
- A grasp of large language model technologies and an interest in exploring how they might integrate into frontend experiences.
- Prior experience working on enterprise software platforms that serve large organizations with complex automation needs.
- Background in building and maintaining design systems or component libraries that promote consistency across multiple products.
- Exposure to automation or robotics process automation concepts, platforms, and the broader RPA ecosystem.
- Experience contributing to open source projects or publishing technical content that helps the broader frontend community.
