Your mission centers on building the foundational platforms that enable the entire company to fulfill its compliance and service-level commitments. You will operate at the intersection of reliability, scalability, and automation, focusing on systems that are critical to our operational integrity. Eliminating time-consuming manual work is at the heart of what you will do, allowing teams to focus on high-value innovation. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand complex problems and architect robust digital solutions. What you'll do
Design, engineer, and build SRE platform systems and capabilities with cutting-edge AI, treating them as products that other engineering teams depend on in their critical path.
Participate in livesite monitoring rotations, handle escalations, and drive effective mitigations - aggressively reducing customer impact through broad, detailed, and effective postmortems.
Drive availability, scalability, and performance improvements based on livesite learnings, turning operational data into actionable system enhancements.
Generate (or codify existing) best practices and ensure they are followed widely across UiPath by embedding them into the systems you build, rather than relying solely on documentation.
Ensure technical deliverables meet or exceed expectations on reliability, scalability, quality, and performance, and identify architectural changes that significantly move the needle on these dimensions.
Onboard other teams onto your platforms by driving outcomes yourself, writing integrations, pairing with their engineers, and removing friction instead of handing off documentation and waiting for adoption.
Ship early, seek feedback relentlessly, and iterate fast, treating every user complaint as a design input that informs the next iteration of the product.
Drive task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing to align engineering efforts with business priorities and delivery timelines.
Participate in and influence process improvements and best practices across the engineering organization, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Contribute to the development roadmap for core SRE platforms, helping prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and dependencies.
Collaborate closely with product managers, security teams, and infrastructure partners to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Leverage observability and monitoring data to proactively identify risks and drive continuous improvement in system reliability.
Act as a technical leader for platform initiatives, mentoring junior engineers and elevating the overall engineering bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Champion automation and AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery and reduce operational toil across the engineering lifecycle.
Maintain a strong focus on customer impact, ensuring that platform decisions directly support the reliability and satisfaction of internal and external users.
Requirements
Demonstrated track record of architecting and engineering world-class, large-scale, distributed commercial applications and services, with a proven commitment to customer success.
Experience building large-scale, complex internal platforms that are adopted by multiple teams in their critical path at a large company, not prototypes that were handed off or abandoned.
A history of driving adoption of your systems by doing the hard work yourself, including writing integrations, removing friction for other teams, and measuring success by outcomes delivered rather than features shipped.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining complex AI-powered applications in production environments, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, Go, or Python, backed by solid computer science fundamentals.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous patterns, and cloud programming concepts.
Extensive experience with service-oriented and microservice-based architectures, HTTP applications, and web services development using modern protocols and standards.
Familiarity with modern engineering practices including agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps, with the ability to work effectively in a highly iterative and collaborative environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
