Developer Relations Advocate
Job description
About the role
Developer Relations Advocate, India
At UiPath, we believe automation can redefine how the world operates. We channel this belief into enterprise software that sets the standard for performance and reliability. To realize this vision, we seek individuals who are inquisitive, self-starters, and authentic. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate generously with others, and be deeply invested in our shared mission.
This role is tailored for someone who will define developer engagement in India. You will establish UiPath's credibility within the country's dynamic professional developer community, operating at scale with autonomy and impact.
YOUR MISSION
India hosts one of the world's largest and most active developer communities. These professionals are building production-level AI systems, contributing to open-source projects, and influencing enterprise tooling decisions. They are discerning participants in the ecosystem, not passive observers, and their influence extends far beyond the region.
As the Developer Relations Advocate (India), you will earn developer mindshare by establishing authentic relationships, creating technical assets, and running experiments that reveal how developers engage at scale. You are a builder, educator, and strategist who will grow UiPath's presence through a help-first, credibility-based approach.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT UIPATH
Developer Community Engagement
You will deliver a minimum of six talks or workshops annually at high-impact community events and meetups across India. Your work will focus on strengthening relationships with Python, JavaScript, AI, and integration-focused groups. You will actively participate in developer ecosystems such as GitHub, Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn, and Reddit, and engage with local meetup networks. Collaboration with the UiPath Community India team will be central to nurturing our most active developer advocates. Travel within India is expected to constitute 25-35% of your time, with occasional attendance at global DevRel functions.
Code-First Developer Enablement
Each month, you will create two or more code-first assets designed to enhance the developer journey. These may include runnable repositories, quick-start guides, opinionated examples, templates, and technical walkthroughs. You will produce clear technical demonstrations that simplify complex platform capabilities. Working alongside technical writers and video editors, you will help scale high-quality content and ensure successful execution of UiPath's annual DevCon. You will partner with product teams to refine platform education materials and run rapid experiments to identify content formats that drive large-scale developer activation, sharing insights with global teams.
Technical Thought Leadership
You will showcase practical approaches for building, orchestrating, and governing AI-powered automations and agents. Your responsibility is to translate platform features into realistic, production-ready examples. You will clearly explain how enterprise requirements around security, auditability, and reliability influence architectural choices.
Internal Advocacy & Influence
You will represent the voice of India's developers within UiPath, advocating for their perspectives in internal discussions. By surfacing ecosystem trends, competitive signals, and friction points, you will shape product and content direction. Your hands-on experimentation and field insights will guide strategic decisions across the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
You will bring four or more years of experience in Developer Relations, software development, developer advocacy, or community leadership. You have a track record of representing developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, cloud, AI, or infrastructure products to external audiences.
You possess strong hands-on ability in Python or JavaScript, with experience building or contributing to production-grade software systems and distributed architectures. Your public technical presence in India is evident through conference talks, workshops, blog posts, GitHub repositories, open-source contributions, or community leadership. You understand the nuances of India's developer landscape, including conference circuits, meetup culture, online communities, and the startup ecosystem.
You have sharp instincts for identifying high-impact content and channels, driven by curiosity and a commitment to iterative testing. Deep empathy for developers and a consistent help-first mindset define your approach. Your written and verbal communication skills allow you to explain intricate systems with clarity and authority.
You are a builder, educator, and community connector who understands India's developer environment in depth.
