About the role
Uber Freight is seeking a Logistics Account Manager II to join its growing operations team based in Stuttgart, Arkansas. This role centers on managing freight account relationships and ensuring that every shipment meets the agreed-upon service standards. The manager will serve as a trusted liaison between customers and internal logistics teams, coordinating pickup and delivery schedules across the region. The position involves monitoring shipment performance, addressing service concerns, and contributing to the long-term growth of assigned account portfolios. What you'll do
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of freight accounts and ensure consistent service delivery standards across all scheduled shipments.
- Coordinate closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and dispatch teams to arrange timely pickup and delivery of freight.
- Monitor active shipment statuses in real time and proactively communicate transit updates and any delays to customers.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and service disruptions by coordinating with internal operations and carrier teams.
- Develop strategic account plans to expand revenue opportunities and improve long-term customer retention and satisfaction rates.
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports summarizing account performance, shipment volumes, cost metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Partner with sales representatives to onboard new freight clients, understand their unique logistics requirements, and set expectations.
- Evaluate and optimize route planning and carrier selection strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all account interactions, contracts, service agreements, and correspondence in the system.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related academic discipline is required.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in freight brokerage, account management, or logistics coordination roles.
- Solid understanding of freight transportation modes including truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, and multimodal shipping options.
- Demonstrated proficiency with customer relationship management platforms and logistics tracking or transportation management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for clear and professional interactions with clients and team members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple active accounts simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to resolving service disruptions quickly.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer facilities, carrier locations, and regional industry events as needed.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with Uber Freight or a comparable digital freight brokerage platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and electronic logging device technology used in freight operations.
- Knowledge of freight pricing structures, carrier rate negotiations, and standard contract terms in the industry.
- Professional certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field such as CSCP or CTFL.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting dashboards for tracking logistics performance and customer satisfaction.
