About the role
Join Twilio as an IT Internal Auditor to support our SOX program and operational audits. We are seeking an individual with strong IT audit and SOX compliance experience to contribute to a growing, collaborative team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our information technology systems and processes.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Examine and validate key IT general controls, including user access management and change control procedures, to ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Evaluate IT application controls within essential business systems, focusing on data accuracy and completeness, and system-generated reports.
- data analysis techniques to identify patterns, discrepancies, and control weaknesses within large datasets from critical systems.
- Partner with internal departments such as IT, Security, and Business Units, as well as external auditors, to define audit scopes, communicate findings, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT auditing, SOX compliance, or internal control assessments.
- A solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, internal auditing principles, accounting practices, COSO framework, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management within fast-paced environments, with the ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team, including overseeing contractors.
- Capability to conduct full internal audits, from planning and risk identification to control testing and report writing.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, requiring minimal direction and providing guidance to other team members.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Okta, Workday, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and custom-built applications.
- Possession of a professional certification such as CISA, CIA, or in data analytics.
- Previous experience supporting global audit teams or working within SOX compliance frameworks internationally.
- Experience with data analytics software and tools.

Practical notes
- Salary range: CAD $68,160.00
- CAD $85,200.00 per year.
- Target Bonus: 10% (when applicable).
- Travel: Approximately 5% is anticipated for team and customer engagement.
