About the role
You will lead the strategic expansion of Southern European enterprise customers as part of Twilio's global EMEA sales organization. You own the end-to-end growth of a high-performing team of solution-selling Account Executives focused on existing customer relationships. This role requires you to build and manage a remote team, leveraging data and coaching to exceed revenue and expansion targets. You will collaborate across product, professional services, and technical teams to ensure customers realize maximum value from Twilio's platform. Your responsibilities include forecasting, territory planning, and guiding your team through a dynamic sales environment. You will foster a growth mindset centered on curiosity, learning, and collaboration. Ultimately, you will drive long-term customer success and revenue growth across your assigned portfolio in Southern Europe.

What you'll do
Build and manage a high-performing team of account executives responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships across Southern Europe.
Lead the development of a focused expansion strategy that leverages the full portfolio of Twilio products to drive growth within existing client accounts.
Enable and coach your team on engaging stakeholders across multiple levels of customer organizations, adapting approaches based on maturity and segmentation.
Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Marketing, Technical Specialists, Product, and Partner teams to support customers launching new use cases on the Twilio platform.
Accurately forecast team performance, providing clear and data-driven guidance to senior management on pipeline, risks, and overachievement against goals.
Champion a growth mindset within your team, fostering curiosity, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote-first environment.
Own territory planning and revenue tracking activities to ensure strategic accounts are prioritized and performance is consistently reviewed.
Utilize data and insights to identify expansion opportunities, remove blockers, and align sales efforts with customer success initiatives.
Represent Twilio in key strategic discussions, influencing executive-level decision-makers to secure long-term partnerships.
Contribute to the development of playbooks and best practices that standardize successful selling approaches across the strategic sales function.
Requirements
3+ years of managerial experience within a high-performing CPaaS, Communications, or API-based company, with strong preference for experience in consumption-based revenue models.
Proven experience in building and managing teams, including managing all monthly forecasting and owning territory planning for strategic accounts.
Demonstrated success in managing a remote team spread across different countries and time zones while maintaining high engagement and performance.
Track record of coaching and developing sales professionals to achieve and exceed their targets in a remote-first setting.
Experience selling technology solutions into large enterprises, with a strong understanding of stakeholder management and executive-level selling.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, forecast accuracy, and pipeline health to guide strategic decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence without authority and present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership.
Commitment to Twilio's remote-first culture, including comfort with asynchronous communication and distributed teamwork across global locations.
Understanding of the CPaaS industry and the unique challenges and opportunities within the communications and API technology space.
Willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis for team gatherings, customer meetings, or off-sites as needed, while primarily working remotely from the United Kingdom.

Experience in previous roles driving expansion and upsell within a portfolio of multiple products or services.
Background working with global enterprise customers in Southern Europe, including knowledge of local market dynamics and stakeholder expectations.
Familiarity with sales methodologies tailored to complex enterprise sales and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience leveraging data analytics tools to track team performance, forecast accuracy, and opportunity progression.
History of building strong partnerships with Product and Technical teams to influence product direction and customer outcomes.
