The Senior Director, Business Development will own the strategic expansion of Tunnl's brand market presence through proactive identification and conversion of high-value opportunities. This leader will cultivate and sustain long-term client relationships while discovering new avenues for growth within existing and emerging industry sectors. They will interpret evolving economic and industry trends to position Tunnl's solutions as critical assets for audience intelligence and communication strategy. The role requires a disciplined, self-motivated professional who derives satisfaction from building trust and delivering measurable value to complex organizations. Success in this position will directly influence the company's subscription growth and market penetration within the brand market. This is a remote role that prefers candidates in eastern or central time zones, though geographic location is not a barrier to contribution. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Business Development and act as a key external representative of the Tunnl brand.

- Spearhead the identification and cultivation of new business opportunities within the brand market to drive scalable growth.
- Architect and execute strategic account plans designed to deepen relationships with priority client portfolios and maximize solution adoption.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of client industry trends, economic sectors, and market dynamics to uncover latent needs and future-facing challenges.
- Orchestrate collaboration with internal engineering, product, and account management teams to ensure flawless implementation and client satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain trust-based, value-led relationships that position Tunnl as an indispensable partner in audience intelligence and communication.
- Generate comprehensive reports and forward-looking insights on business development activities, progress, and results for the Vice President of Business Development.
- Champion the Tunnl brand by representing the organization at industry conferences, events, and high-impact networking opportunities to stimulate lead generation.
- Leverage a proactive and disciplined approach to manage the end-to-end sales process from initial lead generation through successful contract closure.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to exceeding sales quotas and achieving measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Utilize advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, to craft compelling narratives and analyze performance data.
- Drive adoption of SaaS product capabilities by translating complex features into clear client value propositions and actionable strategies.
- Develop and maintain a sophisticated understanding of digital, addressable, and linear television paid media landscapes to inform solution positioning.
- Build and nurture a robust network of industry partners and stakeholders to identify synergistic opportunities and expand Tunnl's reach.
- Mentor and influence cross-functional teams to align on best practices that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
- Continuously refine sales methodologies and outreach techniques based on performance data and evolving market conditions.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 5 years of successful direct selling experience within the brand market, with a background in data and/or market research sales.
- Demonstrate proven ability to manage the full sales process from lead generation to closure with a high degree of professionalism.
