CAD Specialist
Job description
About the role
You will own the production and delivery of all CAD-based survey drawings and related documentation for a demanding portfolio of public agency projects. You will serve as the primary technical contact for the Land Survey group, ensuring that all design models and drawings meet stringent agency standards and client expectations. You will translate complex survey data and field notes into accurate, clear, and compliant construction documents using advanced CAD platforms. You will maintain strict version control and data management protocols to protect project information and ensure seamless collaboration across teams. You will actively participate in quality assurance reviews, identifying potential discrepancies in drawings before they reach the client or agency submission stage. You will mentor junior drafters on best practices, file organization, and software techniques to elevate the overall capability of the group. You will stay current with updates to software releases and agency submission requirements to continuously improve workflow efficiency and output quality. You will contribute to the development of internal standards that enhance consistency, accuracy, and reliability across all land surveying deliverables.
