About the role
The is a pivotal position focused on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for complex environmental projects. In this role, you will be responsible for providing senior engineering level support for the design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment, mine water management, remediation and reclamation projects. You will own the preparation of study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documents, ensuring all deliverables meet stringent technical standards. This position requires a proactive approach to reviewing project documents and drawings for technical quality and accuracy before implementation. You will also prepare design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates to support accurate project planning. Ultimately, this role is centered on ensuring the successful execution of engineering tasks as a Professional of Record while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

What you'll do
- Provide senior engineering level support for the design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment, mine water management, remediation and reclamation projects, ensuring all phases are executed according to plan.
- Prepare study reports that analyze site conditions, process alternatives, and performance outcomes to inform decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Develop detailed engineering specifications that outline materials, methods, and quality criteria for contractors and stakeholders.
- Review project documents and drawings for technical quality and accuracy, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrections prior to mobilization.
- Prepare design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates to facilitate resource allocation and scheduling.
- Prepare signed and sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record (PoR), assuming full responsibility for technical outputs.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost effective, contributing to enhanced project profitability.
- Support other engineering projects as part of the Ensero Engineering Team, collaborating across disciplines to meet shared objectives.
- Build and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals, ensuring alignment and trust.
- Travel to potential and existing work sites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, and customers, gathering critical field data and providing guidance.
- Participate in risk assessments and support resolution of technical issues, implementing mitigation strategies to protect project timelines and outcomes.
- Contributes to business development through leading proposal development, scope development and presentations, helping to secure new opportunities.
- Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise, ensuring solutions are technically sound and compliant with regulations.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals, fostering integration between process, civil, and environmental engineering domains.
- Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members, elevating the overall capability of the engineering department.
