Key facts

What you'll do

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations, ensuring timely submissions and minimizing tax liabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial integrity.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Liaise with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all required documentation is provided and addressing any queries promptly.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, recommending adjustments to policies and procedures as necessary.

• Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and providing actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficient in accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Nice to have

• Experience in the BPO or shared services industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
