About the role
The role operates within Ludios, a studio focused on casual, free-to-play mobile games. A Technical Artist Implementor connects artists and developers in Unity. The position bridges creative vision and technical execution for mobile game production. You will translate artistic intent into efficient runtime systems while maintaining visual quality on target devices. You will act as a specialist consultant for both art and engineering teams to unblock implementation. You will own the tooling and workflows that allow artists to iterate quickly without engineering bottlenecks. You will drive the standardization of practices that ensure consistency across art assets and levels. Success in this role will be measured by the stability of the implementation and the speed of artist throughput.

What you'll do
Investigate visual bugs in the rendering pipeline and document implementation decisions that commonly cause regressions in mobile builds.
Support the art team with asset management strategies to maintain organization, version control, and accessibility of production resources.
Resolve technical issues during asset implementation by collaborating closely with artists and engineers to define the correct workflow.
Optimize scene performance by analyzing draw calls, batching behavior, and memory usage specific to mobile hardware constraints.
Implement visual features using Unity Particle System and Shader Graph to meet design goals without compromising stability.
Prepare and modify assets in Blender and Photoshop to ensure they meet technical requirements for import pipelines and runtime efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align art direction with technical limitations and schedule realities.
Maintain detailed notes and process documentation so that solutions are repeatable and easy for others to review.
Ensure all implementation adheres to project standards so that the art pipeline remains predictable and scalable.
Act as a first line of support for artists encountering technical blockers during the content creation process.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve the efficiency of the art production workflow.
Participate in regular code and asset reviews to share knowledge and uphold quality across the team.
Monitor runtime performance on target devices and iterate on optimizations based on measurable data.
Contribute to the technical roadmap for art tools and rendering features that support the long-term vision of the games.
Champion best practices in version control and naming conventions to reduce errors and confusion across the team.
Requirements
You hold a bachelor's degree, and the specific field of study will be confirmed You possess an intermediate understanding of Unity UI features, including canvas hierarchy and animator controllers.
You demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Unity C# scripting for the purpose of component adjustments and bug fixes.
You have mandatory experience modifying Unity components to support the art team and streamline their workflows.
You understand optimization techniques for game performance and how they apply to real-time interactive content.
You have a keen eye for visual aesthetics and detail to ensure asset implementation meets design intent.
You communicate effectively within a team setting and can articulate technical constraints to non-technical colleagues.
You are familiar with Blender and Photoshop for asset preparation, iteration, and minor adjustments during production.
You can create visual effects using Unity Particle System and Shader Graph to achieve desired artistic results.
You have a passion for games and a demonstrated interest in the development process beyond just playing.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on product needs.

The position is based in Jakarta with hybrid arrangements, including 20 annual remote days.
