What you'll do

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in high voltage systems, utilizing advanced testing equipment and techniques.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop effective solutions for electrical system challenges.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on high voltage equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices, fostering a culture of learning and safety.
• Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and best practices for high voltage work.
• Respond to emergency service calls and outages, working efficiently to restore power and minimize downtime for clients.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license with a focus on high voltage systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations related to high voltage systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces, as required by the job.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.

• Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar or wind, is a plus.
