What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications to ensure thorough coverage.
- Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to identify software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
- Utilize automated testing tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency in identifying issues.
- Document test results, report defects, and track issues through resolution, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on software design and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be captured in formal test cases.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies to continuously improve our processes.
- Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello is a plus.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience in mobile application testing, particularly for iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with security testing practices and tools.
