What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications to ensure thorough coverage.
• Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to identify software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Utilize automated testing tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency in identifying issues.
• Document test results, report defects, and track issues through resolution, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on software design and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be captured in formal test cases.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies to continuously improve our processes.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience in mobile application testing, particularly for iOS and Android platforms.
