Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee headcount planning processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and tracking approved roles, hiring timelines, and compensation packages.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS), supporting recurring forecasts, variance analysis, and performance reporting to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to monitor expenditures, analyze budget deviations, and evaluate the financial impact of marketing programs and initiatives.
- Support the weekly update of the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) forecast by gathering relevant data, validating assumptions, and identifying any changes that could impact revenue projections.
- Prepare executive-ready financial presentations, slides, and written updates that clearly explain performance shifts, key metrics, and areas requiring attention or action.
- Conduct detailed budget-versus-actual analysis, follow up with department leaders on spending changes, potential risks, and updates to forecasts.
- Facilitate monthly and quarterly planning discussions by providing well-organized financial analysis, insights, and supporting materials to leadership teams.
- Partner with the Accounting team during month-end close processes to improve the accuracy and timeliness of accruals, expense reporting, and variance explanations.
- Continuously improve existing FP&A processes, templates, and reporting workflows to increase speed, efficiency, and consistency across the finance organization.
- Work directly with financial and operational data, validating inputs, identifying inconsistencies, and escalating issues that could impact business decisions or financial accuracy.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate analysis, draft initial performance narratives, identify trends, and streamline workflows, while maintaining human judgment and ensuring accuracy.
- Create detailed, accurate, and decision-useful materials for Board meetings and executive updates, ensuring all numbers are correct and messages are clear.
Requirements
- Proven experience in FP&A, including forecasting, headcount planning, budget management, and variance analysis.
- Ability to independently manage recurring financial processes and deliver accurate work with minimal supervision.
- Strong partnering skills, with comfort working directly with department leaders and asking insightful questions about assumptions, spending plans, and forecasts.
- Excellent ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise written explanations of business performance.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, with a consistent desire to understand the "why" behind financial results and trends.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial modeling, with comfort working with large or imperfect datasets.
- Deep commitment to data integrity, investigating discrepancies thoroughly rather than simply reporting numbers.
- Curiosity about how AI can enhance finance workflows, with demonstrated sound judgment in applying AI tools effectively.

Practical notes
This role is based in the United States and is on-site at the company's office location. It is a full-time position with a standard engagement. The company offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $110,000 to $135,000 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role requires working East Coast hours or aligning with US time zones, especially given the preference for East Coast candidates. Fridays in August are designated as days off. Benefits may vary depending on the country of residence.
