What you'll do
- Oversee the operational management of mission-critical facilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective strategies for Day 2 operations, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients post-project completion, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of facility operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and that any issues are resolved promptly.
- Manage budgets and financial reporting for ongoing operations, ensuring that projects remain within budgetary constraints.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on operational protocols and safety procedures to enhance team performance and compliance.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend upgrades or changes that could benefit operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of operations within mission-critical facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within mission-critical environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception through to completion and beyond.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems as they pertain to mission-critical operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to mission-critical operations.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement frameworks.
- Knowledge of building automation systems and their integration into mission-critical environments.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, particularly in the tech or data center industries.
