What you'll do

• You will Analyze state-level policy landscapes to identify opportunities and risks affecting LGBTQ+ youth mental health and safety.
• You will Build and maintain strategic relationships with coalition partners, advocates, and allied organizations to advance shared objectives.
• You will Translate complex legislative and regulatory information into clear, actionable insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• You will Orchestrate and support state-based campaigns, ensuring alignment with The Trevor Project's research, education, and advocacy framework.
• You will Elevate youth voices and lived experiences by integrating community input into policy strategies and messaging.
• You will Monitor policy developments and emerging trends to enable proactive, evidence-based advocacy responses.
• You will Coordinate messaging and communications to ensure consistency, accuracy, and cultural relevance across all state engagement efforts.
• You will Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful execution of advocacy objectives.
• You will Facilitate training and capacity-building opportunities for partners to strengthen collective advocacy effectiveness.
• You will Evaluate campaign outcomes and document lessons learned to continuously refine strategies and improve impact.
• You will Champion organizational values in all interactions, demonstrating care, integrity, and commitment to LGBTQ+ youth.
• You will Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure advocacy initiatives are informed by program expertise and research insights.
• You will Identify resources and leverage data to support the development of compelling policy narratives and recommendations.
• You will Represent The Trevor Project in state-level forums, contributing to the visibility and credibility of our advocacy presence.
• You will Support the development of tools and resources that empower partners to sustain and scale advocacy efforts over time.
