What you'll do
You will facilitate executive-level workshops to uncover strategic security priorities and map them to specific regulatory and business outcomes. You will architect comprehensive solution designs that integrate people, process, and technology across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will evaluate and compare cybersecurity vendor capabilities, articulating distinct differentiators and potential gaps to inform procurement decisions. You will translate ambiguous client requirements into precise security architectures that address immediate concerns while supporting long-term digital transformation goals. You will lead the development of compelling business cases that quantify the financial and operational impact of proposed security initiatives. You will conduct detailed solution demonstrations, tailoring content to address the specific pain points and technical environments of prospective clients. You will collaborate with delivery and consulting teams to ensure proposed architectures are feasible, scalable, and operationally sustainable. You will analyze complex compliance landscapes, explaining how integrated security programs can satisfy multiple frameworks simultaneously. Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience. You bring a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture roles. You hold a deep and current understanding of major cybersecurity frameworks, including but not limited to NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and emerging standards. You demonstrate extensive knowledge of security architecture patterns, identity and access management, cloud security, and network security principles across diverse deployment models. You have a proven track record of working with enterprise-level organizations in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. You are adept at interpreting complex technical documentation, vendor proposals, and security control frameworks to extract actionable insights. You hold one or more industry-recognized security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent, which validate your expertise and commitment to the field. You exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying intricate technical concepts clearly and persuasively to audiences ranging from technical specialists to board-level executives.
Nice to have
You hold advanced security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP-ISSAP, or CISA, demonstrating specialized knowledge in architecture design or audit processes. You have direct experience with frameworks and assessments related to HITRUST, FedRAMP, or other rigorous compliance regimes. You possess a background in managed security service providers (MSSPs) or integrated security operations center capabilities. You are familiar with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms and their role in enhancing defensive postures. You have experience conducting security assessments, gap analyses, and maturity evaluations for global organizations. You understand the nuances of third-party risk management and vendor security assessment methodologies. You have worked with security rating services and quantitative risk frameworks to prioritize initiatives.
Practical notes
This position may require travel to client sites in the Boston metropolitan area and surrounding regions. Occasional travel outside the primary location may be necessary to support client engagements and team initiatives. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of standard background checks and verification of professional credentials.
