Deployed Strategist
Job description
Deployed Strategist at Tessera Labs.
About the role
You will guide global enterprises in deploying AI at scale, owning strategic accounts and steering deployments within an environment without established precedent. You serve as the strategic and technical bridge for pre-sales and post-sales activities, embedding within high-stakes initiatives led by Fortune 500 organizations. Your work will modernize and replace mission-critical workflows that currently rely on extensive manual effort and extended project timelines. This position suits a technical generalist with strong product intuition who builds relationships with top executives and engages in complex problem spaces from initial discovery through production deployment. Your responsibilities include defining ambiguous challenges, shaping requirements, and delivering solutions on the Tessera platform while providing real-time feedback to influence product strategy. You will operate with high autonomy and represent Tessera at the executive level, ensuring that every deployment advances both customer value and platform maturity.
Key facts
What you'll do
You will conduct in-depth discovery sessions to deconstruct complex, cross-system challenges and determine viable solutions on the Tessera platform. You will convert unclear customer demands into specific requirements and drive them to completion, ensuring alignment between stakeholder expectations and technical execution. You will filter competing inputs to identify what truly matters among diverse stakeholder perspectives and translate them into a coherent deployment plan. You will collaborate with GTM teams to define technical boundaries for sales initiatives and create relevant materials such as Statements of Work and deployment playbooks. You will guide customer pilots from first contact to full production adoption, tracking measurable outcomes and validating success criteria at each stage. You will lead on-site training sessions and workshops to build customer capability and platform literacy through hands-on sessions designed to upskill teams. You will convey field insights to Product and Engineering teams to inform future development and influence the Tessera roadmap based on real-world deployment data. You will identify new automation opportunities within existing customer environments and expand platform usage through thoughtful experimentation and iterative enhancements. You will balance immediate customer deliverables with long-term product vision, ensuring both short-term wins and durable platform value for Tessera and its clients. You will navigate business tradeoffs, protect the core product roadmap, and avoid slipping into purely advisory work while maintaining a focus on revenue generation.
Requirements
You have at least two years of high-ownership experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as Strategic Deployment, Technical Consulting, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, or Solution Architecture. These backgrounds may come from high-growth startups or technology companies where rapid iteration and ownership are the norm. You can comfortably discuss software systems and architectures while understanding data concepts and how they translate into deployable solutions. You have a history of delivering ambiguous, high-stakes projects from initial concept to completion, even when requirements are unclear or constraints are tight. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your language and approach to suit executives, engineers, and operators alike. You remain composed during rapidly changing deployment conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability when priorities shift or new information emerges. You demonstrate ownership by doing whatever is necessary to close outcomes, taking responsibility for the success of the engagement beyond your specific role. You learn complex topics quickly and move across traditional role boundaries without difficulty, showing initiative in unfamiliar domains. Prior entrepreneurial experience is considered an advantage in this workflow-oriented position where independent decision-making is essential. You must be authorized to work in the United States, and your location must align with the New York City office as the primary base for this role.
