About the role
You will own the end to end development lifecycle for charging infrastructure projects from initial site identification through financing close. You will partner closely with our real estate, engineering, and operations teams to translate strategic portfolio goals into executable development plans. You will manage complex timelines and multiple stakeholders to ensure projects move efficiently from concept to construction. You will be responsible for securing entitlements, negotiating key agreements, and coordinating the due diligence process for each project. You will maintain rigorous project tracking to ensure alignment with our portfolio deployment objectives. You will lead risk assessment and mitigation activities to safeguard project economics and timelines. You will communicate progress and decisions clearly to both internal teams and external partners. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our development playbooks and standard processes.
Key facts
What you'll do
Coordinate proactive site selection and feasibility analysis in collaboration with market and operations teams to identify optimal locations for charging infrastructure.
Perform detailed development risk reviews and document mitigation actions, ensuring alignment with internal checklists and external regulatory expectations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to validate technical and commercial assumptions during early stage site screening and concept development.
Manage the preparation and tracking of development documentation, including project timelines, milestone schedules, and status reporting.
Support the preparation of investment memoranda and underwriting materials to present to capital partners and internal decision makers.
Coordinate interactions with third party consultants, vendors, and contractors to maintain coherent project documentation and deliverables.
Monitor development budget utilization and work with finance partners to forecast spend against project timelines and milestones.
Facilitate cross functional workshops to align on site specific design inputs, operational requirements, and regulatory constraints.
Track permit application status and regulatory feedback, escalating issues promptly to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
Synthesize project level learnings and feed insights into portfolio level dashboards and development best practices.
Support due diligence activities related to site control, entitlements, and third party agreements during the evaluation and negotiation phases.
Partner with legal and finance teams to ensure documentation, approvals, and closing conditions are met for each development initiative.
Requirements
Demonstrate a strong track record of managing complex projects from initial concept through execution in a fast paced environment.
Bring experience coordinating across multiple internal functions, including real estate, engineering, operations, and finance.
Show a history of working with detailed project planning tools and status tracking mechanisms to manage timelines and dependencies.
Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical information for diverse audiences.
Possess robust analytical skills and the capacity to assess development risks, tradeoffs, and implications for project economics.
Show commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in maintaining project documentation and tracking deliverables.
Demonstrate comfort operating in a dynamic, evolving environment where priorities and scope may shift frequently.
Exhibit ownership mindset and a proactive approach to identifying issues and driving resolution across stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience in transportation, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors where complex development and coordination are central.
Background in electric vehicle charging, energy systems, or utilities is a distinct advantage given our focus.
Familiarity with real estate development processes, entitlements, and third party negotiations in the United States.
Experience using project management software and data visualization tools to track progress and communicate status.
Understanding of capital allocation processes and how development decisions interact with financial returns.

This is a full time position based in San Francisco, California.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or at any point during the employment period.
The role requires collaboration across time zones and may involve occasional after hours coordination depending on project needs.
