Corporate Counsel
Job description
About the role
You will own the full breadth of legal work at Tapcheck from day one, operating as the central legal authority as the business scales. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements while proactively identifying and mitigating legal risk across the business. You will build and maintain contract templates and playbooks that allow the business to move quickly without sacrificing legal protection. You will partner directly with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations to provide practical guidance that unblocks deals and supports growth. You will advise on regulatory and compliance matters across multiple states and help mature the program as Tapcheck expands its product lines. You will manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee key service providers to ensure quality and efficiency. You will translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders. You will own your docket and operate with judgment and autonomy while collaborating closely with the General Counsel.
