About the role
You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for the Texas market, acting as the primary strategic partner for customers seeking advanced visual solutions. You will identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities while ensuring the successful adoption of our Digital Billboards, Factory Andon Systems, LED Displays, Commercial and Industrial LED Lighting, and Digital Signage Solutions. You will leverage consultative selling techniques to uncover client needs and position our technology-driven portfolio as the optimal business outcome. You will collaborate internally with engineering and technical teams to tailor solutions that align with specific customer requirements and project scopes. You will own profitability and margin management for your book of business, ensuring pricing discipline and value-based selling. You will analyze market trends and competitive activity to refine sales strategies and maximize market share across the region. You will mentor junior sales personnel and contribute to the development of best practices within the sales organization. You will serve as the trusted advisor to C-level and operational stakeholders, aligning our solutions with their business transformation goals.

What you'll do
Drive strategic account planning and pipeline development for the Texas territory, translating customer business challenges into structured solution roadmaps.
Own profit and loss responsibility for your assigned accounts, forecasting revenue, managing expense controls, and optimizing product mix to meet financial targets.
Conduct discovery sessions with executive and operational stakeholders to define needs, align expectations, and validate the business value of proposed solutions.
Design and deliver compelling value propositions, leveraging product knowledge of Digital Billboards, Factory Andon Systems, LED Displays, Commercial and Industrial LED Lighting, and Digital Signage Solutions.
Develop and execute multi-threaded sales strategies that penetrate existing accounts, expand into new verticals, and defend against competitive encroachment.
Lead cross-functional proposal efforts, coordinating with technical, engineering, and operations teams to build compliant, solution-focused responses.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators for customer adoption, satisfaction, and retention, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
Qualify and progress leads through the sales funnel, managing a robust pipeline of opportunities with clear next steps and decision criteria.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships within target accounts, positioning Electro-Matic as a long-term partner in innovation and operational excellence.
Support market development activities by providing feedback on competitor moves, customer trends, and product enhancements to inform strategy and messaging.
Execute regional sales initiatives, including trade shows, customer workshops, and demonstration events, to generate awareness and accelerate adoption.
Maintain accurate and timely records in CRM, ensuring visibility into deal stages, stakeholder maps, and forecasted outcomes for management review.
Collaborate with marketing to refine collateral, case studies, and success stories that resonate with Texas-based industries and use cases.
Champion internal process improvements that enhance the customer experience, reduce cycle times, and strengthen the overall sales methodology.
Provide post-sale support by ensuring smooth project handoffs, addressing initial implementation concerns, and reinforcing confidence in the deployed solutions.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrate a proven track record of success in outside sales, with at least five years of experience selling complex technology or industrial solutions.
Show a history of exceeding sales quotas and delivering consistent, sustainable revenue growth in previous roles.
Bring specialized experience in selling LED display, signage, lighting, or related visual technologies within a B2B environment.
Exhibit strong knowledge of consultative selling frameworks, stakeholder mapping, and executive-level engagement techniques.
Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business benefits for diverse audiences.
Have experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and report on key sales metrics.
Commit to ethical sales practices, compliance with company policies, and adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Nice to have
Experience in the signage, advertising, or commercial display industries, with familiarity into digital out-of-home or industrial automation segments.
Knowledge of Factory Andon systems, digital billboards, or commercial LED lighting applications within manufacturing, logistics, or retail environments.
Background in managing turnkey installations or projects that require coordination with electrical, structural, or controls engineering teams.
Familiarity with energy efficiency standards, rebates, or incentive programs relevant to LED lighting and display deployments.
Experience presenting solutions to C-level executives, operations directors, and technical decision-makers within a competitive landscape.
Practical notes
This role is based in Farmington Hills, MI 48335, and requires occasional travel to Texas markets as needed.
