Key facts

What you'll do

• Address merchant inquiries related to transactions, ensuring adherence to established internal security protocols.
• Act as a representative of the Risk and Fraud division by reaching out to merchants to authenticate documentation in line with risk evaluations.
• Conduct audits of merchant activities to confirm compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal policies.
• Analyze various business models to set and modify payment thresholds as necessary.
• Provide support to clients who speak German and English through multiple channels, including email, chat, and phone, with a focus on outbound communications that have a lower volume.
• Handle escalated issues from outsourced Level 1 support teams, dedicating around 60% of your time to tasks that do not involve direct client interaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and improve overall merchant experience.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact merchant security protocols.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on merchant behavior and security incidents for internal review.
• Participate in training sessions to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in fraud prevention and risk management.
• Foster strong relationships with merchants to build trust and ensure a smooth resolution of any security-related concerns.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for the Risk and Fraud team.

Requirements

• Fluency in both German and English is essential for effective communication.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations and challenging interactions.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A proactive and inquisitive mindset when it comes to solving problems and addressing security challenges.
• Previous experience in a risk management or fraud prevention role is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with merchants and team members alike.
