B2B Operations Enablement Lead
Job description
About the role
Stepful is redefining how large health systems develop and sustain their talent pipelines through its platform-driven approach to workforce development. In this role, you will own the systems and processes that allow enterprise program launches to become repeatable, predictable, and scalable across the business. You will manage one direct report while operating at the intersection of product, learning, and customer success to ensure seamless execution. The position requires a founder-minded operator who can design infrastructure before problems arise rather than after they occur. You will primarily focus on scaling existing offerings such as PC-Plus, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy while enabling the rollout of new modalities. This is a hybrid position based in New York City that demands comfort with fast-paced, ambiguous, and data-informed decision-making.
Key facts
- Own the scaling of existing programs and client launch operations, leading and optimizing the end-to-end launch and expansion process for established programs at existing and new clients, including launch planning, QA, cross-functional coordination, and go-live readiness.
- Design operational infrastructure for new modalities, building the operational backbone for partner-led enrollment, employer-sponsored sign-up, SSO integration, and IT QA processes before go-live rather than after.
- Build scalable S4B ops processes, owning ongoing process design for areas such as preceptor operations, admissions workflows, sponsorship management, and ops efficiency to reduce manual steps and improve outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally by aligning with Product on tooling needs, coordinating with Learning on program readiness, and looping in Customer Success and Solutions Architecture on client-facing implications.
- Manage one direct report and report into the SVP, Operations, ensuring that team capacity grows in parallel with program complexity and client count.
- Partner with Customer Success to translate client needs into operational requirements and ensure that program launches meet or exceed expected service levels.
- Define and maintain playbooks, SOPs, and workflows that standardize how new programs are introduced, adopted, and scaled across the enterprise.
- Coordinate dependencies between Engineering, Learning, and Operations to ensure integrations, QA gates, and data flows are tested and validated.
- Track leading and lagging indicators for program health, using data to drive iterative improvements in launch velocity and operational reliability.
- Contribute to the rollout of new offerings as Stepful expands into adjacent markets and care disciplines beyond the initial scope.
- 8+ years building scalable operations for the delivery of services within a start-up environment, with at least 2 years in the context of B2B partnerships.
- 2+ years of consulting experience (or strategy roles) that involve designing operational or process frameworks for enterprise clients.
- Demonstrated experience designing and documenting operational processes - playbooks, SOPs, workflows - that stick and are followed across teams.
- Strong project management instincts, including the ability to track the details, manage dependencies, and keep launches on schedule across multiple workstreams.
- Experience working cross-functionally on technical or product-adjacent projects, with familiarity with concepts such as SSO, IT QA processes, and platform integrations considered a plus.
- Ability to manage a team while staying close to the work yourself, balancing hands-on contribution with strategic oversight.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build structure where none exists, creating clarity out of complexity for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid, mission-driven environment that values speed, ownership, and data-driven iteration.
- Prior experience in healthcare or EdTech, where you understand the regulatory, clinical, or accreditation nuances that affect program design.
- Experience in remote educational delivery, including online teaching, virtual simulations, or virtual reality learning environments.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York City. The position reports to the SVP, Operations and includes management of one direct report. Travel is not specified, indicating the role is centered in the NYC office with flexibility for remote collaboration as needed. The work is designed to be mission-driven and fast-paced, requiring comfort with evolving priorities and ambiguous problem spaces.
