What you'll do

• Enhance the Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver engaging educational experiences, emphasizing user engagement, tailored learning paths, collaboration among peers, and elements that motivate learners.
• Design and implement innovative career support tools, leveraging generative AI to assist graduates in securing employment with clinical partners, covering everything from crafting resumes to preparing for interviews.
• Create and sustain internal platforms for instructors, teaching assistants, coaches, and operational staff, ensuring they have the tools needed to maximize student success, while employing generative AI for enhanced outcomes.
• Develop scalable content generation systems that can quickly adapt to evolving educational requirements, facilitating rapid curriculum development and refinement.
• Guarantee data integrity and accessibility throughout the organization, enabling business, educational, and operational teams to make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring that the solutions align with the company's mission and goals.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure that the engineering team remains at the forefront of innovation in the EdTech and healthcare sectors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, demonstrating the ability to oversee the entire development lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript for front-end development tasks.
• Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
• A passion for tackling complex challenges using advanced technology and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
• A proactive attitude towards working in a startup environment, with a focus on building new systems from the ground up.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a direct-to-consumer startup, especially within the EdTech or healthcare industries.
• Knowledge of generative AI applications and their potential in educational contexts.

Practical notes

• The compensation package includes a competitive base salary along with equity (ISOs); currently, there is no bonus structure in place.
• Benefits offered include subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), commuter benefits, and a flexible vacation policy that suggests 15 days of paid time off (PTO), a company closure during the last week of December, 15 work-from-anywhere days, and 10 recognized public holidays.
• The interview process consists of an initial recruiter screening, followed by a technical round that includes live full-stack coding, a coding challenge, and a technical interview with the hiring manager.
• Candidates will have the option to select their preferred tech stack for the technical round, choosing from React with Node.js/Express, React with Python/Django, or React with Ruby, as well as their preferred coding language (Python, Ruby, or JavaScript).
