SteerBridge is seeking a Lead AI/Data Analyst to support the Marine Corps Logistics GPN program. This role operates at the Pentagon. The analyst will oversee an off-site team of junior and mid-level data analysts. These analysts transform complex logistics data into actionable metrics. The metrics support mission readiness and operational decision-making.
The Lead AI/Data Analyst will establish data standards. Automation tools will be deployed to extract, synthesize, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources. The integrity and quality of enterprise data will be ensured. Advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and modeling and simulation tools will be utilized. The analyst will develop predictive models. The analyst will create visualizations. Data-driven insights will enhance logistics operations. The position maintains oversight of a distributed analytics team supporting Marine Corps logistics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Leadership
The analyst will serve as the lead analyst and coordinator at the Pentagon. Oversight of an off-site team of junior and mid-level analysts will be required. Implementation and maintenance of data standards across the program will be mandatory. Coordination of data analysis efforts will support Marine Corps logistics operations.
Data Engineering & Automation
Automation tools will be deployed to extract, synthesize, validate, and transform data from multiple sources. Datasets for reporting and analysis will be constructed and maintained. Data quality will be monitored. Database issues will be troubleshooted to ensure integrity. Python, R, SQL, and other scripting and querying tools will be used to automate data processes.
Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
Algorithms, user interfaces, and data visualizations will be developed. AI and machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch, will be applied to build predictive models. Optimal solutions will be recommended. Complex datasets will be analyzed using statistical methods and data modeling techniques. Reports, dashboards, and data files will be produced using business intelligence and visualization tools.
Modeling & Simulation
High-resolution modeling and simulation software such as ExtendSim will be utilized. Simulation optimization tools such as OptDef will be applied to evaluate complex operational scenarios. Decision-making will be supported through advanced modeling and analytical techniques.
DoD Logistics Data Support
Department of Defense logistics systems, including TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC, will be worked with. Logistics data sources will be manipulated to support model inputs and analytical solutions. Accurate capture, integration, and utilization of data for operational analysis will be ensured.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required. The candidate must bring 8+ years of related experience. Expertise in developing algorithms, user interfaces, synthesizing data, and creating visualizations using Python or R is necessary. Experience utilizing scripting and querying tools such as Python, R, or SQL is required. Experience applying AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop predictive models and analyze complex datasets is mandatory. Experience using high-resolution modeling and simulation software (e.g., ExtendSim) and simulation optimization tools (e.g., OptDef) is required. Familiarity with Department of Defense logistics systems, including TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC, and the ability to manipulate these data sources for model input is required. Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, business intelligence tools, and dashboard development is required.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with federal acquisition rules and digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
