About the role
In this role, you will be the chief strategist for the HR technology landscape, overseeing the UKG platform along with other talent management systems. Your primary responsibility will be to connect HR leadership with IT, ensuring effective governance, enhancing system architecture, and developing long-term technical strategies that align with organizational goals.

What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact between HR and IT, ensuring alignment in platform strategy and development initiatives.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing HR technology landscape to identify gaps, clarify system ownership, and enhance operational stability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation that articulates the technical perspective for all human resource systems.
- Oversee a centralized process for the intake and prioritization of all HR technology projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Transform recurring system challenges into actionable improvement strategies, managing testing phases and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Data teams to guarantee integration of HR systems within the overall enterprise architecture.
- Champion data integrity and AI initiatives by ensuring that HR technology decisions adhere to enterprise standards and best practices.
- Establish governance frameworks to promote consistency and reliability across the HR technology stack, ensuring all systems operate effectively and efficiently.
- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for HR technology management and implementation.
- Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements to the HR technology ecosystem.
- Facilitate training sessions for HR staff on new systems and processes to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve HR service delivery through technology.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise application ecosystems, particularly ERP or HRIS platforms.
- A solid technical foundation that enables a comprehensive understanding of system architecture and development processes.
- Proven ability to translate complex organizational needs into structured execution plans and governance frameworks.
- Experience in coordinating efforts across IT, data, and business units to achieve common objectives.
- A successful history of stabilizing and optimizing existing technology implementations or partially completed projects.
- Strong decision-making skills, particularly in ambiguous situations, with a principled approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to upholding the organization's culture and values, which emphasize innovation, entrepreneurship, and humility.
Nice to have
- Experience in both technical product management and delivery within an HR context.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Workday, or ADP, enhancing your ability to manage these systems effectively.

- Understanding of enterprise system integrations, data flows, and cloud technologies that support HR functions.
- Previous exposure to Principle Based Management or experience within Koch companies, providing insight into effective management practices.
