Associate Copywriter
Job description
About the role
Solace pairs patients with healthcare advocates and tools so people can navigate a complex U.S. health system more clearly. The company cites that most U.S. adults lack the health literacy to manage that system alone. Solace is a Series C startup founded in 2022 with backers named in the posting, including Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. As Associate Copywriter you help make healthcare stories easier to understand across marketing, lifecycle, product, and company channels. This is an early-career, growth-focused seat for new college graduates who want mentorship from writers, designers, and marketers while shipping real copy from day one with real channel contributions. The role is in person in Redwood City three days a week. You will own the end-to-end creation of patient-centered narratives that translate complex healthcare information into clear, actionable guidance. You will act as the voice of the patient, ensuring every word serves clarity, compassion, and usability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to turn abstract concepts into concrete messages that feel human, not clinical. You will contribute directly to high-visibility channels that shape how users understand and engage with Solace products.

- Growth mindset with drive to keep improving as a writer, actively seeking learning opportunities and applying them.
- A portfolio that shows writing ability through professional, academic, or personal work that reflects your best thinking.
- Based in the United States, with the ability to work in person in Redwood City three days per week.

Practical notes
Solace describes an intense, mission-driven culture focused on patients; treat culture language as company framing from the posting. Fraud advisory: Solace says it will never request bank details or offer employment without an interview, and that legitimate mail comes from Solace.health or ashbyhq.com addresses. Report suspicious outreach to recruiting@solace.health or advocate@solace.health. Solace frames healthcare navigation as broken for most adults and positions advocates plus decision tools as the product answer. Funding announcement coverage is referenced via Bloomberg in the posting if you want company background beyond this summary. The creative team expects intensity and precision; culture claims about stretching and doing your best work are employer language, not guarantees. Because this is aimed at new graduates, mentorship and critique are part of the learning model rather than optional extras. Writing spans patient-facing and company-facing audiences, so applying one voice guide across channels is a core skill to build. Distributed collaboration still applies even though the seat requires three Redwood City office days each week. Portfolio review is central to hiring: professional, academic, or personal writing samples can all count if the quality is clear. Organizational skills matter because campaign work moves through designers and marketers with shared deadlines. Report recruiting fraud using the Solace addresses listed above rather than engaging suspicious offers.
