We are looking for a writer to define our brand voice and create messaging that helps users navigate their health journeys. In this capacity, you will own the narrative foundation of our brand, ensuring that every word reflects clarity and compassion for those in need. You will translate complex healthcare processes into straightforward, human-centered stories that guide users from confusion to confidence. The role requires you to balance strategic thinking with meticulous execution, turning abstract concepts into concrete, relatable messages. You will be responsible for shaping the tone of our entire ecosystem, from the first touchpoint to the final resolution. Your work will directly influence how patients perceive and interact with the support they receive. Key facts
What you'll do
- Draft copy for paid acquisition, brand initiatives, lifecycle marketing, social media, and video scripts, ensuring each piece aligns with our core mission.
- Create conceptual frameworks, headlines, and narratives for various campaigns that cut through noise and speak directly to patient needs.
- Collaborate with video producers, designers, and marketing staff throughout the production cycle to ensure visual and verbal harmony.
- Participate in strategy meetings and creative brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas that challenge the status quo and inspire teams.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels, reinforcing recognition and trust through a unified voice.
- Refine creative assets based on performance data and internal feedback, iterating quickly to improve clarity and impact.
- Conduct research into patient language and industry terminology to ensure our messaging remains accessible and jargon-free.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate technical concepts into compelling, customer-first narratives.
- Develop modular copy systems that allow for rapid adaptation across different platforms and touchpoints.
- Anticipate user questions and concerns, addressing them proactively within your content to reduce friction in the care journey.
- Support the creation of long-form educational materials that establish Solace as a thought leader in patient advocacy.
- Test variations of messaging to identify what resonates most deeply, using insights to inform future creative decisions.
- Act as the voice of the patient internally, ensuring that lived experience informs every word choice and strategic pivot.
- Document copy standards and best practices to enable scalable growth and consistency as the team expands.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of professional copywriting experience in-house or at an agency, demonstrating a proven track record of high-quality output.
- History of success working within agile, distributed teams, showing resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing campaign work and conceptual thinking, with clear examples of strategic storytelling.
- Ability to maintain high quality while working at a fast pace, managing multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
- Capacity to incorporate feedback and critique to improve final output, viewing revision as a step toward excellence.
- Deep empathy for the patient experience, allowing you to write with authenticity and respect for complex emotional contexts.
- Understanding of healthcare terminology and the ability to translate dense information into simple, reassuring language.
- Commitment to ethical communication, avoiding manipulation and prioritizing transparency in all messaging.
- Strong written communication skills, with exceptional grammar, syntax, and clarity in American English.
- Experience working within brand guidelines while also having the flexibility to evolve them as the brand matures.

- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and asynchronous communication methods is essential for seamless workflow.
