Associate Video Editor
Job description
About the role
Solace exists to fix a healthcare system that leaves 88% of U.S. adults struggling to navigate complex information and make confident choices. As an Associate Video Editor, you will own the end-to-end quality of video content that bridges clinical insight and human emotion. You will turn challenging medical concepts into clear, compelling stories that help patients feel informed and supported. This role demands precision, curiosity, and a commitment to process improvement in every project you touch. You will grow quickly alongside a mission-driven team that values rigor, empathy, and craft above all else. If you are ready to contribute meaningfully from day one while building a real foundation in healthcare storytelling, this is your opportunity.
Key facts
What you'll do
Edit video content across social, web, marketing, brand, and internal channels with a focus on clarity and impact. Turn raw footage into polished edits, moving from initial assembly and rough cuts through refined storytelling and final exports. Support post-production workflows by ingesting footage, syncing audio, organizing project files, and preparing timelines for busy editors. Help maintain and organize Solace's video assets and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, including naming conventions, folder structures, metadata, version control, and archival discipline. Help ensure footage, project files, and final assets are organized, backed up, searchable, and easily accessible across distributed teams. Partner closely with editors, producers, designers, and other creatives throughout the production and post-production process to align on vision and execution. Incorporate creative feedback and revisions quickly and thoughtfully, balancing direction with ownership of the final look and feel. Perform quality control across audio, resolution, formatting, exports, and brand standards before every delivery to protect the integrity of Solace's work. Continuously improve post-production and asset management workflows by testing new tools, documenting processes, and applying mentorship from experienced colleagues. Contribute to a culture of curiosity and rigor by seeking feedback, iterating based on data and user needs, and sharing learnings with the broader team.

You must have strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, especially when managing multiple assets and deadlines. You must have experience or familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM), media organization, or structured file management practices. You must possess a basic understanding of audio editing, color correction, codecs, formats, and video compression to make informed editing decisions. You must be enthusiastic about working on an agile distributed team that moves fast but maintains high standards. You must have solid collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional partners. You must show genuine curiosity and creativity in how you approach narrative, pacing, and visual problem-solving. You must have a genuine appetite for feedback, using critique as a tool to sharpen your work and the work of others.
