What you'll do
Partner with Sales Executives to navigate and win complex sales cycles, embedding yourself as a strategic extension of their team.
Identify and cultivate technical and executive champions within Defence, National Security, and Health agencies to build long-term market presence.
Translate ambiguous mission outcomes and intricate requirements into concrete, scalable Snowflake data architectures and implementation roadmaps.
Conduct hands-on discovery of customer environments, mapping existing data estates and workflows to Snowflake's Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric capabilities.
Deliver compelling value-based demonstrations and live whiteboarding sessions that resonate with both technical teams and senior leadership.
Lead enterprise Proofs of Concept from initiation through completion, validating performance, security, and scalability for public sector use cases.
Present Snowflake's technology roadmap and vision to C-suite and agency stakeholders, aligning data strategy with national policy objectives.
Maintain a competitive lens across the data and AI landscape, ensuring Snowflake's differentiation is clearly articulated in every customer discussion.
Collaborate globally with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to synthesize customer feedback and influence product evolution.
Uphold Snowflake's security and compliance expectations, ensuring all solutioning aligns with government-grade requirements and controls.
Requirements
You must hold an active Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred) or have the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
Your base of operations must be Canberra, with a firm commitment to consistent in-person presence and direct engagement at customer sites.
You bring a minimum of 10 years of cumulative technical industry experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to pre-sales or solution engineering roles.
You possess a proven ability to deconstruct complex business and mission problems and convert them into actionable, scalable data solutions.
You demonstrate outstanding presentation and storytelling skills, adapting your narrative for technical audiences and executive leadership through whiteboarding, briefings, and live demos.
You have broad, hands-on experience with enterprise-scale database and data warehouse technologies, including ETL, analytics, and major cloud platforms.
You are proficient in SQL, SQL analytics, and Python, using these tools to explore data, prototype solutions, and communicate technical concepts.
You can perform deep architectural discovery of a customer's current framework and map legacy systems to Snowflake's Data Architecture effectively.
You hold a University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or can demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
