About the role
Smartsheet is on the lookout for a Product Marketing Manager II to become a vital member of the Horizontal Use Cases team. This position will concentrate on developing value strategies, positioning, and sales materials tailored for enterprise applications, including areas such as Enterprise PMO, Operations and Process Management, IT PPM, Service Delivery, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, you will craft unique value propositions aimed at outperforming competitors and enhancing usage across various functions within established enterprise accounts.

What you'll do
- Assist in the development and maintenance of distinct value strategies for designated horizontal use cases.
- Create quantifiable Value Impact Models that translate platform features into productivity and efficiency claims for discussions on return on investment (ROI).
- Conduct interviews with buyers and perform win/loss analyses to validate and refine product positioning, documenting supporting evidence for messaging claims.
- Engage in competitive research and convert findings into actionable positioning materials for the Sales team during evaluations.
- Develop and sustain content packages for assigned use cases, ensuring that all materials adhere to the Sales Ready standard for live buyer interactions.
- Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to provide training for Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Engineers (SEs) on effective positioning.
- Track adoption metrics through tools like Gong for keyword usage, Highspot for asset engagement, and gather field feedback regarding content quality.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to continuously improve product messaging and positioning strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align marketing strategies with product development and sales initiatives.
- Support the creation of case studies and testimonials that highlight successful implementations and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to inform strategic marketing decisions and positioning adjustments.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in product marketing, marketing, or business strategy within the B2B SaaS sector.
- Familiarity with value positioning and competitive messaging targeted at enterprise clients.
- Interest or experience with ROI frameworks, Value Impact Models, or tools for building business cases.
- Exceptional writing and messaging skills, with the ability to distill complex platform features into clear, buyer-centric value propositions.
- Comfortable working directly with Sales, Customer Success, and field teams to test and enhance positioning strategies.
- An analytical mindset capable of leveraging win rate data, SAM analysis, and competitive intelligence for informed strategic decisions.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis.
