About the role
Smartsheet is looking for a Senior Manager of Web Strategy to lead the direction and execution of its web presence. This role owns the strategic vision for Smartsheet's website and digital properties, aligning web efforts with broader company goals. The Senior Manager works cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and design teams to ensure the web experience supports customer acquisition, retention, and brand positioning. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

What you'll do
Define and execute the overarching web strategy for Smartsheet's consumer and business-facing properties. Partner with product and marketing leaders to align web content with product launches and seasonal campaigns. Own the roadmap for website improvements, prioritizing features that drive engagement and conversion. Manage a team of web strategists, content specialists, and analysts to deliver on quarterly objectives. Analyze web performance data to identify growth opportunities and areas for optimization. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of web initiatives. Oversee the information architecture and navigation structure across Smartsheet's digital properties. Develop testing frameworks to validate web changes through A/B and multivariate experiments. Represent the web function in cross-departmental planning sessions and executive reviews. Build relationships with external agencies and vendors to support web development and content production. Champion accessibility and performance standards across all web properties. Translate business objectives into measurable web KPIs and report on progress regularly.
Requirements
Proven track record of managing web strategy or digital experience at a SaaS or technology company. Experience leading a cross-functional team of web professionals including content, design, and analytics. Strong understanding of web analytics platforms and the ability to derive actionable insights from data. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting strategy to senior stakeholders. Experience working with content management systems and web development workflows. Familiarity with SEO principles and how organic search impacts web traffic and growth. Track record of managing budgets and vendor relationships for web-related projects. Ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results under tight timelines. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in marketing, business, or a related field.
Nice to have
Experience with A/B testing tools and experimentation platforms such as Optimizely or Google Optimize. Background in B2B SaaS marketing with a focus on demand generation through web channels. Familiarity with front-end development concepts including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics. Exposure to marketing automation platforms and how web strategy integrates with email and paid campaigns. Knowledge of internationalization and localization best practices for global web properties. Experience managing web strategy for products with complex user journeys and multiple customer segments.
