Integration Developer
Job description
About the role
This position centers on designing, constructing, and sustaining backend integrations that link essential platforms across the organization. You will take ownership of code from initial design through final deployment, ensuring high reliability and complete observability in production environments. A core part of this role involves automating data flows, modernizing legacy systems, and providing direct operational support to engineering teams based in the United States. Daily work includes attending shared ceremonies, leading incident response for urgent issues, and aligning technical implementations with evolving business requirements. The position requires a consistent focus on steady delivery, robust system resilience, and maintaining clear communication within a distributed, global team. You will be expected to act with ownership and precision to ensure seamless operation of critical integration pathways.
Location and Engagement
The role is based in Bangalore, India, and operates as a full-time engagement. The compensation package for this position is 23.5 LPA.
What you'll do
You will design and implement event-driven integrations that connect Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and Snowflake using AWS infrastructure components. Automation of data movement will be achieved through services such as Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB to ensure efficient processing. You will author and maintain CI/CD steps within GitLab to support reliable and repeatable workflows for these integrations. Refactoring legacy integration logic will be necessary to align with current architecture standards and to improve overall extensibility and maintainability. Ownership of infrastructure definitions using Terraform or CloudFormation will be required to monitor deployments and maintain stable, traceable, and auditable environments. You will actively support urgent incidents in production, isolate root causes efficiently, and coordinate fixes across distributed engineering teams located in different time zones. Integration designs will be reviewed collaboratively with architects and Business Systems Analysts to validate testing strategies, improve resilience, and ensure coverage for critical business flows. Building and maintaining CDC and event streaming pipelines will be essential to guarantee data consistency across systems in real time. You will work closely with business analysts to clarify requirements, validate technical approaches, and ensure solutions meet precise business needs. The role demands diligence in ensuring that integrations perform reliably under varying loads and conditions.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field, or you bring equivalent hands-on experience that demonstrates the same level of competency. A minimum of 5 years of experience building backend services or automation is required, with demonstrated proficiency in Node.js, Python, and common development editors. Frequent use of AWS services is expected, particularly Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB, along with a solid understanding of their operational characteristics. You will model schemas in databases such as DynamoDB and Snowflake, tuning queries to balance performance requirements with cost efficiency considerations. Writing secure APIs and understanding REST and SOAP patterns is essential for enabling smooth system interoperability and integration reliability. You will create and maintain GitLab CI/CD workflows that include tests, linting stages, and automated deployment pipelines to accelerate delivery. Handling infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation is necessary to change environments safely and reduce the risk of configuration drift. Experience building and sustaining integrations for Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Stripe, or Snowflake is required for success in this role. You will validate data integrity, manage schema changes carefully, and reconcile differences across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. Clear communication in a distributed, global team is vital, including navigating time zones, cultural contexts, and asynchronous collaboration practices. Troubleshooting production issues from start to finish, taking full ownership of outcomes, and understanding the broader impact on stakeholders are core aspects of the position. A background in delivering integrations and automation within Finance, People, Sales, Legal, or BI functions is expected to demonstrate relevant domain understanding. Adapting quickly to shifting priorities, new tools, and changing project demands without sacrificing quality or reliability is essential. Comfort with Agile rituals, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives, is required to operate effectively in this environment.
Nice to have
Experience with prompt engineering or using generative AI tools to assist coding is welcomed and considered a valuable advantage.
Skills & tools
Core skills and tools expected for this role include AWS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, GitLab, Terraform, and CloudFormation. Mastery of these technologies will enable you to design, deploy, and operate resilient integration solutions.
Practical notes
